Hello!
Today I present to you a sound-rich story. For this task, we were asked to create a short podcast using at least five words from a given list and include more than ten sound effects to enhance the atmosphere. My friend Beyza and I wanted to create something together as partners, so we picked the sound-rich story out of three options, we both enjoy storytelling and wanted to design something artistic together. We brainstormed hard to come up with a story we could be proud of.
Our story is about a scientist named Mileva, who invents time travel and gets a glimpse of the far future, a world without humans. After witnessing this dystopian future of the world, she travels back in time to prevent it. Her plan is to burn down the Library of Alexandria, believing that stopping technological progress might save the future and prevent this doom. The story has many sound effects to bring the scenes to life.
The process was definitely challenging. Every step had its own difficulties, writing a story that fits the time limit, editing the audio, adding sound effects naturally, and trying to submit everything on time. It was stressful at times, but also very rewarding and enjoyable. I do enjoy creating imaginative things and meddling with technology, though this may not be for everyone. Personally, I would not give this exact task to students in the future, as it requires many skills but I might give a simpler and less limiting task, because it requires creativity, teamwork, and tech skills.
Overall, it was a pleasure to create and let our imagination run wild with my friend Beyza. Thank you.
Thanks for reading. See you in the next post!
