The 21st century is a period where everything changed very rapidly and with this change education has evolved to keep up with the current world, especially in language learning. Today’s learners are mostly digital natives, integrating technology into classrooms is no longer optional, it is essential. Traditional methods alone are not enough for the needs of modern students, who are familiar with interactive and digital learning environments.
Certain approaches may seem important and effective, but in the future when we look back into now, we might question or criticize our current methods just as we do with past century teaching methods. That’s why embracing 21st century learning is crucial. It helps students develop skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication that go beyond traditional ones.
I believe that learning a language isn’t just about studying, it’s about immersing yourself in the world of that language. With current technology and the era of the internet, people as well as their culture is just a click away. With all of these changes, learning also changed, it has become more accessible than ever.
